Server rules
Everywhere
These apply in game, on Discord and on the wiki.
- Be respectful to players and staff. No harassment, slurs, bigotry or accusations against other players.
- No NSFW, hateful or disruptive content, including in builds, chat and profiles.
- No advertising other servers or communities.
- No political or religious discussion.
- Use English in public chat. Private messages can be in any language but still follow the rules.
- Don’t impersonate other players or namesquat.
- Don’t spam, and keep conversations on topic.
- Don’t evade a ban or mute with alternate accounts, Discord or in-game commands. Doing so doubles your punishment.
In game
- RetroMC is PVE: don’t kill or trap other players. (The Nether is the exception: it’s semi-anarchy, so PvP and griefing are allowed there.)
- No griefing, even of abandoned or unclaimed builds. Changing someone’s build without permission counts.
- Don’t claim, move into or use builds and farms that aren’t yours.
- No hacking, cheating, x-ray, duping or exploiting bugs. Report bugs privately on Discord; you may get a reward.
- No macros, autoclickers or automation like Baritone, and don’t stay AFK at mob farms for long periods.
- Don’t claim land close to another town unless that town agrees.
- Cosmetic and quality-of-life mods, OptiFine and minimaps are allowed. If you’re unsure about a mod, ask in #helpdesk on Discord.
On Discord
- No piracy or links to pirated content.
- Follow Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
